ZenFlow Lab
Policies and ethics
How we protect participants, handle information and keep our research trustworthy.
Effective 3 November 2026
1. Safety notice
ZenFlow Lab is a research community. It is not a medical, counselling or emergency service, and nothing on this site is medical advice. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services right away, or find a free helpline in your country at findahelpline.com.
2. Research ethics and participant protection
- Taking part is always voluntary, and every study explains its purpose before you begin.
- Our experiments are for adults (18 and over).
- Participation is anonymous: no names, email addresses or accounts.
- You may stop at any time without giving a reason.
- We run only minimal-risk studies. Any study involving health information, vulnerable groups or more than minimal risk will begin only after independent ethics review.
- Results are reported only in aggregate, so no individual can be identified.
- Before any experiment opens, we will obtain review — or a formal exemption decision — from an institutional review board (IRB) where the law requires it, including Korea's Bioethics and Safety Act.
3. Privacy
Controller: ZenFlow, Republic of Korea. Privacy officer and contact: contact@zenflow.company.
This website sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
What we process and why: (a) Technical access data — such as IP address, browser type and time of access — is processed by our host, Cloudflare, to deliver and secure the site; legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a safe website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). We keep no access logs of our own. (b) Experiment answers, once experiments open, are collected only with your consent, without names, email addresses or IP addresses. (c) If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply.
Service providers and international transfers: Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) hosts the site; emails to contact@zenflow.company are forwarded by ImprovMX and stored in Google's email service. These providers may process data outside your country under their data processing terms and safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Google Translate is contacted only if you choose a language from the "More languages" menu; Google's privacy policy then applies.
Retention: anonymous experiment answers are kept as research data; emails are deleted within one year after the matter is closed; data held by Cloudflare follows Cloudflare's policy. Data that is no longer needed is permanently deleted.
We do not sell personal information, use it for marketing or profiling, or make automated decisions about you. Our pages are not directed at children under 14, and our experiments are for adults only.
Your rights: under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Because experiment answers are stored without identifiers, we may not be able to link them to you. You may also complain to a supervisory authority — in Korea, the Personal Information Protection Commission (Privacy Infringement Report Center, 118); in the EU, your local data protection authority.
